The first two days of Deshaun Watson’s disciplinary hearing are over, and they have been relatively quiet. Watson, who was accused of sexual assault and misconduct during massage sessions, is facing a possibility of discipline from the NFL after their own investigation of his situation.
Watson’s hearing ended Wednesday without a resolution. They are now scheduled to meet again on Thursday with Sue Robinson continuing to oversee the case.

What is next for the case?
There appears to be no timeline for a decision by Judge Robinson, but it is believed a decision will be reached by the start of training camp for veterans on July 26th. A possible decision that could be made is a suspension of 6-8 games.
The NFL is said to be more likely to accept this decision if it is made by Robinson. However, it is not confirmed. It seems as if the NFL would want to avoid an appeal.
There is a chance that Robinson’s decision could be appealed, though. In case that happens, the decision would be turned over to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, whose decision would be final.
Watson’s Stance?
Watson has maintained his innocence through this entire process, and it doesn’t seem like it will change. He says he’s been truthful the entire time, even going back to his meetings with the NFL back in May.
“I met with the NFL a couple weeks ago, and I did everything they asked me to do, I answered every question truthfully that the NFL asked me,” Watson told reporters on June 14th. “I spent hours with the people they brought down, and that’s all I can do is just be honest and tell them exactly what happened.”
This has been a big story since 2019, and it seems as if there will be closure soon.
