On Monday morning, the Jacksonville Jaguars confirmed they’re losing their rookie wide receiver this offseason due to an ACL injury from a non-contract incident. The injury comes as the Jaguars were depending on their young pass catchers to make an impact this season.
The Jacksonville Jaguars need their WRs to step up

The Jaguars have a big hole on their roster to fill in the upcoming season. In free agency, they lost their top wide receiver from 2023, Calvin Ridley, to the Tennessee Titans. They added Gabe Davis in free agency and LSU standout Brian Thomas Jr. in the 2024 NFL Draft. They were hoping undrafted rookie David White Jr. would carve out a role on the team.
David White Jr. suffered a torn ACL

Per White’s Instagram story, the Western Carolina standout wrote he tore his ACL.
Torn ACL unfortunate reality. Headspace is great and I’m very positive and strong on my outlook on the future.,” White wrote. “No need to sympathize just had to give an update. There will highs there will be lows surely- At times you can do all you can and give it your all each day and take care of yourself and things can still take place. Nature of the game, taking it a day at a time people. Dream on.”
Doug Pederson confirmed White’s injury

According to Demetrius Harvey with the Florida Times-Union, Jaguars head coach Doud Pederson confirmed White tore his ACL. He said the injury was a non-contact injury. White, who had a promising start at OTAs in May, is a candidate to be placed on the Jaguars injured reserve.
