Dave Portnoy Says Jordon Hudson Wrote Belichick's Statement Denying NFL Interest

Dave Portnoy Claims Jordon Hudson Left Her “Fingerprints All Over” Bill Belichick’s Giants Coaching Statement

Bill Belichick released a statement Friday shutting down rumors about the New York Giants head coaching job. The North Carolina Tar Heels coach made his intentions clear. He’s staying in Chapel Hill.

But Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy wasn’t convinced by what the legendary coach said. Portnoy thinks he knows exactly who else might have had a hand in writing the message. And he didn’t hesitate to blame Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend.

Dave Portnoy Says Jordon Hudson Wrote Belichick’s Statement Denying NFL Interest

Belichick’s statement dropped November 15 addressing speculation linking him to the Giants vacancy. The legendary coach praised the organization and the Mara and Tisch families. He acknowledged New York’s important role in his coaching career during his decade under Bill Parcells.

The 73-year-old praised the Giants organization in his statement and the Mara and Tisch families, calling his decade under Bill Parcells a privilege. He made it clear he won’t pursue any NFL head coaching jobs.

Then he doubled down on his commitment to UNC, citing strong support and his pride for the university and community. He closed the long note with his famous Patriots-era phrase, “We’re on to Wake Forest.”

That last line caught Portnoy’s attention immediately. The Barstool founder jumped on social media and fired off his take. “‘We’re onto Wake Forest’ has Jordon’s fingerprints all over it. has Jordon’s fingerprints all over it,” Portnoy tweeted.

He was referring to Hudson, Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend. Portnoy believes Hudson either wrote the statement or heavily influenced it. The closing phrase “We’re on to Wake Forest” was his smoking gun.

Now, the “we’re onto” line is a classic Belichick move. He made it famous during his Patriots tenure, especially in 2014 when he shut down questions about the Kansas City loss by repeating “We’re on to Cincinnati” over and over. It became legendary.

But Portnoy isn’t buying that the coach recycled his own catchphrase. He thinks Hudson polished the statement and added that signature touch to make it sound authentic.

Hudson has been a constant presence in Belichick’s life since they started dating. She shows up at his games regularly. She reportedly helps manage some of his business matters. The two have become inseparable since going public with their relationship.

Whether Hudson actually wrote the statement remains pure speculation. His boyfriend hasn’t confirmed or denied Portnoy’s claim. Neither has Hudson.

But Portnoy’s post added fuel to an already spicy storyline. Belichick’s first year at North Carolina has been rocky. The Tar Heels are 4-5 and struggling to find their identity. Questions about his future were inevitable.

The Giants job would make sense for Belichick. He spent over a decade there as an assistant under Parcells. He won two Super Bowl rings with that organization. But Belichick shut that door firmly, as he’s committed to UNC.

Tar Heels faced Wake Forest this weekend. The Demon Deacons presented a tough test for Belichick’s squad. Dropping to 4-6, this game has defined how the rest of the season unfolds for UNC.

Hudson was likely standing next to him on that sideline. And if Portnoy’s theory holds, she might be drafting the following statement too as Belichick’s ghostwriter.
