Davante Adams, wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, definitely made many fans smile when it was announced that the team was bringing him in from the New York Jets for the upcoming season. Adams was basically Cooper Kupp’s replacement on the team. Kupp will be playing for the Seattle Seahawks in the upcoming season and was traded after his numbers were not that great over the last couple of seasons.
However, some NFL analysts have been pretty skeptical of what Adams brings to the table, even if he is a talented player for their offense. ESPN reporter, Davante Adams, mentioned in a recent article that Adams’ position in the Los Angeles Rams will not significantly improve their position to win the Super Bowl in the upcoming NFL season.
“Sean [McVay] can get really creative with him, because he’s that classic outside receiver with size that you can also slide inside. It’s a risk because Kupp was so good there for so long. But I see this as a slight upgrade.” Jeremy Fowler wrote in his article, citing some information that he received from an NFL insider.

According to Fowler’s source, the Los Angeles Rams have essentially depended on Cooper Kupp for so long, specifically since 2017 when he was selected in the third round as the 69th overall pick. Kupp won the Rams one Super Bowl in his tenure with them. Most of LA’s strategies were designed with Kupp in mind and Davante Adams might not fit in too well with them at this point.

Davante Adams Might Have Called Aaron Rodgers A Dark Cloud
Davante Adams recently spoke to reporters about his time with the New York Jets in the previous season. It looks like Adams was not happy during his time with the Jets and even specifically mentioned that the team had a ‘dark cloud’ over their building. While he did not go on to explain what he meant by the dark cloud, many fans assume that he might have made a jab at veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers played for a couple of seasons with the New York Jets after he moved from the Green Bay Packers. However, his numbers were not too great, and the Jets let him go earlier this year in March. Still, it seems like Rodgers is still a hot prospect with the Steelers immediately making a grab for the quarterback.
