Darius Slay’s wife, Jennifer Slay, recently shared a video of her son, Trent, at a recent basketball game where he won MVP. Jennifer Slay, who has been married to the Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback for a few years now, not only shared a video but also wrote a beautiful message for her, praising his hard work and detailing how proud she is of him.

Darius Slay and his wife have two children of their own, and also raise other children from their previous relationships. The cornerback who signed a one-year deal with the Steelers back in March, and his wife, have often been commended for raising a blended family in harmony.

“You are GREATNESS!! I just wanted you to know. I’m proud of you. I love you, and keep working hard. You can have and be anything you want to be if you keep working!! Proud of you always, babe.” Jennifer Slay captioned her post for her son Trent, who won the MVP at a recent basketball game.

While Jennifer Slay is enjoying being a proud momma, her husband, Darius Slay, is getting ready for his first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the previous NFL season, the cornerback played for the Philadelphia Eagles, completing four seasons with them. In his football career until now, Darius Slay has managed to win one Super Bowl ring.

Darius Slay and the Pittsburgh Steelers have plenty to figure out together. The Steelers, as a unit, seem pretty confident of making it to the playoffs after the arrival of veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is also apparently making good friends with the rest of the Steelers and will be expected to do very well for the team in the upcoming season.

Darius Slay Credits Teryl Austin For Success He Has Today

Meanwhile, Darius Slay also has plenty of reasons for his comfortable stay with the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of those reasons is the presence of Teryl Austin, who is the defensive coordinator for the team. A few days back, Darius Slay gave his flowers to Austin, crediting for shaping him up to be the successful player he is today.

“I’’ fit well in the Steelers defense because TA was my defensive coordinator in Detroit” Darius Slay said about Teryl Austin in his appearance on ‘The Mina Kimes Show Featuring Lenny’.

Darius Slay and Teryl Austin worked together during the cornerback’s time with the Detroit Lions. Slay played for six seasons with the Lions before he was traded to the Eagles. In this upcoming football season, Slay will make his first appearance with the Steelers.
