The Cleveland Browns were on their bye this past weekend, but they lost the week after one of their best-beat reporters linked New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones to the team.

On Sunday morning, the Giants and Carolina Panthers played a game nobody wanted to watch in Germany. Still, Jones was having a rough day, throwing for only 190 yards and two interceptions.
Could The Cleveland Browns Sign Daniel Jones
The Giants would fall in overtime 20-17, and many have called it Jones’s last season in New York after they fell to a losing record of 2-8.
Even though people in New York are done with the former Duke quarterback, it doesn’t mean every city has the same opinion of him. Tony Grossi, who has covered the Browns for a long time, tweeted on Sunday morning,” Daniel Jones playing himself into contention to be the next Browns transition QB.”

Cleveland has had enough quarterback problems and doesn’t need another one with Jones. The Browns need to sign a veteran quarterback on a cheap deal this offseason and then draft a young one in the first round.

Jones will land on his feet somewhere else next season, and it better not be in Cleveland, or they will have the same problems next year as they are having right now.
