Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are coming off a great season. They finished the regular season with a record of 13-0 and won the Big Ten in their first year.
Unfortunately, the Ducks fell to Ohio State in the second round of the College Football Playoffs. Oregon aims to complete its season goal of winning this year’s college football national championship.
Dan Lanning Makes Decision On Oregon’s Spring Game

While March brings out the best college basketball games, college football also starts. Spring practices begin throughout the country, and there have been weird conversations about the spring game this year.
A few programs, like Nebraska, won’t be playing their annual spring game because they don’t want players to put film on tape and have other colleges try to steal them out of the spring transfer portal.
Speculation had arisen that Oregon might cancel its spring game, but Lanning confirmed this week that the Ducks will indeed play it this year.
“I think it’s the best way for us to get better. We’re going to play football in the Spring game,” Lanning stated via On3.com. “I mentioned new faces I think that’s a great opportunity to create a gameday environment for those players. It’s the right way to cap off the Spring. As long as I’m here, we’ll be doing Spring games.”
It’s good to see Oregon keep the tradition of the spring game alive since it’s one of the best events on the football calendar.
