The Dallas Cowboys face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday night. One matchup to monitor throughout the game is Philadelphia’s stout defensive front vs. Dallas’ relatively young offensive line. All eyes were on whether the Cowboys’ second-year starter would be available after missing an extended period.

Tyler Guyton suffered a bone fracture in his right knee, which didn’t require surgery during the second week of training camp, while the initial belief was that he had torn his ACL. He was sidelined for the rest of camp and the three preseason games. The Cowboys opted not to place Guyton on injured reserve during roster cuts, indicating that if anything, he would miss only a few games.

Tyler Guyton participated in Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday’s practice as a full participant, a positive sign regarding his availability against the Philadelphia Eagles. According to Ian Rapoport, the Cowboys released their official Week 1 injury report on Wednesday, and the starting left tackle did not carry an injury designation, suggesting he is good to go.

Tyler Guyton will be tasked with blocking second-year EDGE rusher Jalyx Hunt. The third-round product from Houston Christian is expected to take on a full-time starting role after serving as a backup to Josh Sweat during his rookie season. Hunt primarily lines up on the right side, where he represented 143 (79%) pass-rushing snaps in 2024, according to PFF.
