The Dallas Cowboys have arguably the best offense in the NFL, headlined by superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. The fourth-year wideout is fresh off an NFL-best 135-catch campaign. He finished the season with 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns en route to first-team All-Pro honors and a third-place finish in AP Offensive Player of the Year voting. However, the fallout of Lamb’s historic season is the wide receiver’s current holdout status at training camp while seeking a new lucrative deal. With Lamb, quarterback Dak Prescott, and pass rusher Micah Parson eyeing new deals, financials could become tricky for the Cowboys.
Nevertheless, FanDuel Sportsbook has provided the ultimate solution to Dallas’ potential financial woes, trading away Lamb to the highest bidder. On Thursday, FanDuel posted a hypothetical deal between the Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers, netting the NFC East squad three assets in return.
FaDuel: Suggest Ludicrious Trade Proposal for Dallas Cowboys
Just because a media outlet can doesn’t mean they should share hypothetical trade proposals with thousands of followers. On Thursday, FanDuel Sportsbook shared a graphic depicting a trade between the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers. In return for superstar CeeDee Lamb, Dallas would receive a 2025 first-round pick, a 2026 first-round pick, and quarterback Justin Fields. With Pittsburgh posting a .500 record or better since 2003, each first-round selection would likely be outside the top 15. Meanwhile, Fields, who landed with the Steelers this offseason, owns an abysmal 82.3 quarterback rating in three NFL seasons.

In return for two middle-of-the-pack first-round picks and a subpar signal-caller, FanDuel suggested Dallas would part with Lamb. The Cowboys’ offense has thrived with Lamb, with the wideout accumulating 5,145 yards and 32 touchdowns since his rookie season 2020. Although Lamb will fetch a hefty price tag after the conclusion of his rookie deal, the megastar is one of the most lethal pass-catchers across the past four seasons.
CeeDee Lamb: Elite Playmaker
Initial reports suggest the CeeDee Lamb holdout could last well into the preseason, with the star wide receiver eyeing a new, lucrative deal. However, it would behoove the Dallas Cowboys to strike a deal soon with the pass-catcher, keeping him with the franchise for the long term. Lamb has posted three straight 1,000-yard seasons. However, his true breakout season came in 2022, catching 107 passes for 1,359 yards and nine scores.
He followed the 2022 season with a splendid 135-catch, 1,749-yard last year. Lamb also caught 12 touchdown passes. The Cowboys posted a 9-1 record in games that Lamb found the endzone via the passing game. Lamb has also posted gaudy numbers in his last three postseason games, catching 23 passes for 295 yards and a score. Lamb enters the 2024 season as the 66th highest-paid receiver. However, Spotrac believes the Oklahoma product will fetch a four-year, $115 million deal, placing him at $28.8 million annually. Such an offer would make Lamb the fourth highest-paid receiver, trailing Justin Jefferson, A.J. Brown, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Tyreek Hill.
