The situation between the Dallas Cowboys and superstar linebacker Micah Parsons continues to intrigue.
Although the Cowboys have already dropped hints about eventually giving him a huge contract extension, nothing has yet to develop that resulted in Parsons putting pen on paper and moving on from this saga.
Until he signs an extension with Dallas, there are not going to be enough signals from either camp that will effectively snuff trade rumors involving the former Penn State Nittany Lions star’s name, especially in this offseason.
That’s also the stance of Fox Sports NFL reporter Ralph Vacchiano.
He is arguably the best defensive player in football and the Cowboys say they intend to give him the massive contract he deserves … eventually. But every day they delay that seemingly inevitable outcome adds to the persistent murmurs that Dallas might deal him instead. The haul would be enormous. It would have to include multiple first-round picks, including at least one that’s pretty high, and possibly players, too. Dealing him might be raising a white flag on the 2025 season, but the king’s ransom in return could set them up for years to come.
Dallas Cowboys LB Micah Parsons’ wait continues amid fantastic pro career

The Cowboys picked up their fifth-year option worth $24 million on Parsons for the 2025 NFL season, so unless they sign him to an extension or franchise tag him in the future, he could end up being traded by Dallas.
In any case, Parsons is an absolute wrecking machine on defense, having recorded at least 12.0 sacks in each of his four seasons so far in the NFL. So far in his pro career, Parsons has 52.5 sacks, four Pro Bowl nods and two First-Team All-Pro selections.
