The Dallas Cowboys have no shortage of headlines throughout the NFL season and the NFL offseason. There have been many reasons why they have made headlines this offseason. For starters, owner Jerry Jones loves to face the cameras and talk.
Anytime Jerry Jones speaks, people always want to write about what he has to say. What Jones has yet to do this offseason is give his star quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb contract extensions. Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has also yet to receive a contract extension and they will need to at some point.

In the past, the Dallas Cowboys have appeared on ‘Hard Knocks.’ Can you imagine if they were on it this year? Their arch rivals, the New York Giants will be featured on the off-season edition of Hard Knocks. The Chicago Bears will be featured in the preseason edition and the AFC North will be featured in the in-season edition.
Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver CeeDee Lamb Would Be the Biggest Story If They Were Featured On ‘Hard Knocks’

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has shown up to the offseason workouts despite not having a new contract, but wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has been a different story altogether. Lamb has not shown up to the offseason workouts because of not having a new contract.
Will it continue heading into training camp? Dallas Cowboys fans need him to report back to the team soon. Because of Lamb not showing up, there have been a crazy amount of trade proposals being posted on different websites.
The Yardbarker Staff wrote about what would the headline be for each NFC team if they were featured on ‘Hard Knocks.’ The staff said:
“Has anyone seen CeeDee Lamb?
The 2023 NFLsecond-leading receiver was absent for minicamp, and thanks to Justin Jefferson’s new contract, he now has 140 million reasons to skip training camp. Nothing on the practice field can match the drama of Lamb’s negotiations, giving HBO producers a perfect, Keyser Soze-like figure for the series.”
There is no doubt that Lamb deserves to be paid as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL. He is the only reliable source in this offense for quarterback Dak Prescott. Last season with the Dallas Cowboys, CeeDee Lamb caught 135 passes for 1,749 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns, along with averaging 13.0 yards per catch.

He also rushed for 113 yards on 14 carries and two touchdowns, along with averaging 8.1 yards per carry. It would be interesting to see what CeeDee Lamb would be doing all this time not being with the Dallas Cowboys. Would he be working out elsewhere? Because of his absence, other wide receivers have stepped up during offseason programs and that is something they will need throughout the 2024 season.
