The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly not in a hurry at all in the deal which they extended to linebacker Micah Parsons. Parsons is in the final year of his contract, and the team owner, Jerry Jones, apparently met with him for several hours, which they discussed various issues, especially his contract.
According to recent reports, the Cowboys are happy to offer Parsons a crazy deal, which will make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. While everyone seems to be holding their breath until the deal is done and solidified, Jerry Jones stated that he is in no hurry at all to seal the deal.
“I don’t view it as urgent at all. I’d rather pay more and get it right.” Jerry Jones said about Micah Parsons according to Jon Machota from The Athletic.

“I know that I’ve spent five, six hours with him myself and had a lot of discussions. Most of the issues are in agreement, and I’ve discussed it all. We obviously don’t have an agreement relative to a new contract. Micah is under contract. So we’ll see how that goes. It’s not uncommon for me to visit directly with players, and in this particular case, that’s what I’m doing.” Jerry Jones said during the NFL Annual Meeting.
Jerry Jones indeed discussed the deal and the contract extension with Micah Parsons on a one-on-one basis. But, Parsons’ agent David Mulugheta was not present during the conversations, and this has sparked further discussions in sports forums that Jones was being disrespectful to the notable sports agent.

Dallas Cowboys’ Owner Opens Up About His Team Not Winning In Almost Three Decades
The Dallas Cowboys have not won an NFC Championship in 29 years, and the team’s owner seems not too hung up about it. Jones discussed the same with reporters during the NFL meetings in Florida.
“I am going to be real clear: In no way am I satisfied. We have hung around the rim, now we missed some real opportunities two or three times to maybe step up there and get into the championship game.” Jerry Jones remarked about his team during the Annual NFL Meetings.

According to Jerry Jones, his team definitely has the capability to win Super Bowls, but simply have not had the luck to do so. Jones also seems to be very proud of his team and his players, even if they have not brought back home a trophy.
