The Dallas Cowboys are following the lead of the Houston Texans amid a disaster in the Lone Star State.

On Saturday, the Texans made a $500,000 pledge to help communities in Central Texas and the Hill Country affected by flooding that hit the region on Friday and Saturday. Per multiple reports, 27 are still missing in Kerr County, and at least 51 have died from flooding over the July 4 weekend holiday.

Kerr County had 800 people needing to be evacuated from the region. A nearby summer camp, Camp Mystic, saw flood waters rise approximately 29 feet from nasty thunderstorms that sent 15 inches of rain their way. Dozens of people are missing who were staying at Camp Mystic during the thunderstorm.

Per an announcement on X on Sunday, the Cowboys revealed they are pledging $500,000 to help communities impacted by the devastating floods.

“Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastation and loss of life caused by the floods in Kerr County and Texas Hill Country, especially for the young girls and their families, as well as all of those lost and their loved ones,” the announcement reads. “This has been devastating to see and we hold everyone impacted in our thoughts and prayers.

“Standing side by side with The Salvation Army’s critical response, we are also donating $500,000 to provide immediate resources for rescue, relief and long term recovery efforts.”
