The Dallas Cowboys are attempting to turn their season around as they face off against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon. They are currently 3-4 and have lost two games in a row in what has become a massive disappointment of a season. Prior to and throughout the 2024 campaign, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has said that they are “all in” on trying to win this year.

That does not appear to be the case, and if it is he made terrible personnel decisions in his attempt to build a winning roster.
The frustrations that Dallas has faced this year came to a boil on the sidelines during their game against the Falcons as head coach Mike McCarthy went viral on social media while having an epic meltdown.

Before the season began, Jones declined to give McCarthy a contract extension. 2024 is the final year of his current contract, making him a lame duck head coach. If he cannot turn the team around soon, it very likely will be his final season in Dallas.
Of course, Jones has not exactly given McCarthy all the tools necessary to be successful this year. The running back room is a disaster and the Cowboys have the worst rushing offense in the NFL. One wonders what they expected to happen when they allowed Tony Pollard to leave and replaced him with a washed-up Ezekiel Elliott.
