The Dallas Cowboys have not saved their season, but they also are not mathematically eliminated from postseason contention. For just the second time this year, Mike McCarthy‘s squad won a second consecutive game, this one a 27-20 victory over the New York Giants on Thanksgiving.
Indeed, being 3-7 at one point, it looked as if the Cowboys season was all but over. But two straight wins has drastically improved their chances of making the postseason, even if they are still minimal.
But one Cowboys player in particular doesn’t care what the odds are. He believes Dallas is ready to make a run for the NFL Playoffs.
Dallas Cowboys Linebacker Micah Parsons Puts the NFL on Notice After Thanksgiving Win Over Giants
Before digging into the turkey leg he was awarded for his incredible performance against the Giants, Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons was asked why Dallas seems to be playing so much better as of late.
He responded with the following:
“I believe we gonna turn it around and make a run.” 🗣️#MaddenThanksgiving MVP Micah Parsons is confident in his @DallasCowboys after their 2nd straight victory (via @NFLonFOX) pic.twitter.com/8z4fwxWVWM

“To be honest, it’s really been ‘why not us?’ Everybody counted us out. It was just like, enough is enough. We know what we got, we know what we can do there, and I believe in every one of these guys.
“I believe we’re going to turn it around and make a run.”
Parsons was the game MVP after recording three tackles, 1.5 sacks, and four quarterback hits.
Can the Dallas Cowboys Really Make a Run for the NFL Playoffs?
As they have shown all year, no game is going to be an easy one for the Cowboys. This is especially true with the season winding down.
Dallas’ five remaining games are:
- vs the Cincinnati Bengals (4-7)
- at Carolina Panthers (3-8)
- vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6)
- at Philadelphia Eagles (9-2)
- vs Washington Commanders (7-5)
The Commanders currently hold the final spot in the NFC Playoff picture. If Dallas is to make a run, they likely will need to win out in order to do so.
