The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly offered to make All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons one of the highest-paid players in the history of the sport.
According to a report from Clarence Hill of DLLS Sports, the Cowboys have an offer on the table to make Parsons the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

The Cowboys seem much more proactive in terms of getting Parsons’ contract extension done than they have been in the past, with the likes of quarterback Dak Prescott and dynamic wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
Hill points out that Parsons’ contract, if he winds up signing it, would eclipse the record-setting deal that the Cincinnati Bengals recently agreed to with star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
Likewise, the Cowboys and Parsons have a guidepost in these negotiations, in the historic $160 million pact that Myles Garrett signed with the Cleveland Browns. Given that Parsons is four years younger than Garrett, and ascending into the stratosphere as one of the most consistently dominant and disruptive edge rushers in the sport, he could wind up eclipsing even that contract.

The Cowboys chose Parsons with the No. 12 overall pick, out of Penn State, in the 2021 NFL Draft and he has developed into the kind of player who keeps opposing offensive coordinators, offensive tackles, and quarterbacks awake the night before games.
Through his first four seasons, Parsons has logged 52.5 sacks while producing 256 total tackles. It seems that Dallas is intent that the best years of his prime are spent in a Cowboys uniform.
