Dallas Cowboys safety Malik Hooker suffered a toe injury in Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers, causing the team to place him on injured reserve ahead of Week 5. The starter has missed the previous six weeks and five games. Hooker returned to practice and was limited on Thursday and Friday, and upgraded to a full participant on Saturday and was officially questionable for Monday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Dallas Cowboys have massive news for 14-interception defender

According to Patrik Walker of the team’s website, the Cowboys have activated Malik Hooker from injured reserve just in time for Week 11. Therefore, the starting safety with 14 career interceptions is expected to play against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football. Hooker’s presence should boost the secondary, which has allowed the third-most passing yards per game.

Who filled in for him?

Juanyeh Thomas has filled in for Malik Hooker as the starting safety, starting in Weeks 5, 6, and 9. The former undrafted free agent has battled severe migraines, which have caused him to miss Weeks 7 and 8. On Tuesday, the Cowboys placed Thomas on the reserve/non-football illness list, which will sideline him for at least the next four games.
Alijah Clark and Markquese Bell have also started in Hooker’s spot this season.
