The Dallas Cowboys play against the Baltimore Ravens at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for their third game of the 2024 season. The Cowboys are coming off a shocking 19-44 blowout loss at home against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints’ offense walked all over the Cowboys’ defense, scoring a touchdown on all five drives of the first half as the game was out of reach at halftime. Their defense would give up 432 total yards, including 242 passing and 190 rushing yards.
To make matters worse, their newcomer got injured.
The Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle suffered a wrist injury
Jordan Phillips suffered a wrist injury at some point during Week 2. Phillips injured his wrist as a member of the Bills in Week 15 of last season, which required season-ending surgery. He signed with the Giants during the offseason, but the Cowboys acquired him a month ago. He recorded one tackle and 34 (25%) defensive snaps in two games.
Jordan Phillips will miss the next four games
According to Todd Archer of ESPN NFL Nation, the Cowboys placed Phillips on injured reserve. He will miss at least the next four weeks; the earliest he can return is Week 8. The Cowboys play at home against the Ravens Sunday afternoon in Week 3, on the road against the Giants Thursday night in Week 4, on the road against the Steelers Sunday night in Week 5, and at home against the Lions Sunday afternoon in Week 6, followed by a BYE in Week 7.
