Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones opened up on some of his more eccentric waiting habits during his Tuesday morning appearance on 105.3 The Fan.
Jones appeared to be in a better mood on Tuesday than had been during other appearances on the show this fall. His Cowboys defeated the Carolina Panthers 30-14 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on Sunday to improve to 6-8 on the season.
Xavier Legette loves him some raccoons

During a recent appearance on The St. Brown Podcast, Panthers rookie receiver Xavier Legette said he eats raccoons on Thanksgiving.
“All my people do hunting and all that,” Legette said via a transcription from Yahoo.com. “My cousin is the one that killed it, and came and was like, ‘Come on, we got the raccoon…And if you’re curious about how racoon tastes. It’s got its own touch. You know everybody says it still tastes like chicken, but raccoon got its own touch though.”
Legette said he would hunt a raccoon, cut it up, and cook it.

On Tuesday, Jones was asked if he eats procyonids. Per Jon Machota of The Athletic, Jones enjoys raccoons and squirrels.
“I’ve eaten a lot of raccoon. The answer is yes,” Jones said. “It’s not uncommon at all. One of my favorites is squirrel. It’s wonderful. We all had our favorite pieces. … My mom and I would even ask for the brain of the squirrel. Delicious. Seriously.”

Jones did not specify if he takes part in the hunting process or not, or if he eats squirrel brains for holiday meals. Although that meal would be a perfect offering to the team at the end of the season.
