Dallas Cowboys executive vice-president Stephen Jones clarified that the team will be happy staying at No. 12 in the upcoming NFL draft, according to an interview with ‘105.3 The Fan’. Stephen Jones, the son of Jerry Jones, remarked that the team will not be trying to move upward in the draft and knows well what players they will be coming across.
In the 2024 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys finished third in the NFC East after winning seven games and losing ten, two spots below the ruling Philadelphia Eagles who eventually went on to win the Super Bowl. The Cowboys played their last game of the season against the Washington Commanders, losing 23-19. Dallas will try their best to build a talented roster with their draft pick and possibly improve their standings in the upcoming season.
“I don’t necessarily see us moving up, based on how the board is coming together,” Stephen Jones said about the Dallas Cowboys on ‘105.3 The Fan’.

Dallas Cowboys Will Say Goodbye To Tyron Smith
Once a Dallas Cowboy, always a Dallas Cowboy, it looks like for Tyron Smith. As per the latest news on the 34-year-old offensive tackle, Tyron Smith aims to retire from the sport. But he aims to do it on his own terms, and that means wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey on his last day. Smith will be signing a one-day contract with the Cowboys to announce his retirement.

Tyron Smith played with the Dallas Cowboys from 2011 to 2023, after the team selected him as the ninth pick in the very first round of the NFL draft. In the last season, Smith played for the New York Jets. While Smith is definitely a talented player, his confidence seems to be empty. The offensive tackle has not brought out such great numbers over the last few seasons, mainly as a result of injuries.

Before entering the NFL, Smith played college football for the USC Trojans from 2008 to 2010. In his NFL career, Tyron Smith made it to the First-team All Pro twice and played in eight Pro Bowls. In his time with USC, Smith was named to the First-team All-Pac-10 in his senior year.
