The Dallas Cowboys are going into 2024 trying to get over the playoff hump. For three straight seasons they’ve finished the regular season with 12 wins, yet they failed to make it to the NFC Championship game.
One of the stars who figures to be around for a long time won’t be on the field for a while.
The Dallas Cowboys Lose Start Weapon For The Foreseeable Future
According to the Cowboy Wire:
The Dallas Cowboys have made it official. On Tuesday, the club made six changes to their roster, including officially saying goodbye to wideout CeeDee Lamb, who is holding out in an effort to secure more financial security.
To this point, the team has dealt with his absence without making anything official. There was no need to create room on their 90-man offseason roster but two weeks into training camp the need has arisen. Dallas has moved Lamb to the Reserved/Did Not Report list ahead of their first exhibition game this Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
Cowboys Wire’s KD Drummond reported Lamb could face fines of up to $1.5 million if he missed the team’s first preseason game. He offered a full breakdown of the missed game:
“Game fine: $999,500
12 missed practices: $480,000
Minicamp fines: $101,716
Making his total fines as of Sunday’s game, $1,581,216.” — Drummond, Cowboys Wire
