Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys quarterback, is not expected to take his team to the Super Bowl, according to former New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum. Tannenbaum recently appeared on ‘First Take’ and was asked about the Cowboys’ chances of entering the Super Bowl in the following season. Tannenbaum, who is known to give out logical and rational responses, gave a clear-cut answer in the negative.

Prescott is definitely facing plenty of tension as more and more expectations are laid on his shoulders to take his team to the Super Bowl. The quarterback also signed a big-fat contract extension with the team last year, giving him more responsibility than before.
“I would have said yes two years ago when they were playing the Green Bay Packers and they were at home and they were all rolling, but now I think the window has passed. I think their windows closed really from a defensive standpoint. They missed on Mazi Smith. DeMarvion Overshown is coming off an injury. We’re not sure when he’s going to be back. So to me, they struggled stopping the run. Now, they brought in Kenneth Murray. That should help. But until they can show they can do that, even if Dak Prescott plays B+ or better, I think they are the third-best team.” Mike Tannebaum discussed Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys’ success rates in the 2025 NFL season.
Dak Prescott’s Dallas Cowboys are already facing plenty of internal turmoil as one of the team’s greatest weapons, linebacker Micah Parsons, is yet to receive his contract extension. Despite Parsons attending the training camp, there are clearly tensions between him and the team owner, Jerry Jones. Fans are hoping that things get resolved before the regular season kicks off.

Dak Prescott Makes Positive Comment On His Health And Recovery
Dak Prescott struggled with his health last year after severely injuring his hamstring in the 2024 NFL season. Prescott had to be benched for the rest of the season, which definitely hurt the Cowboys’ chances of making it anywhere near the playoffs. However, it looks like the quarterback has spent the majority of the offseason rehabbing and recovering and is raring to go as per his latest comments.

Prescott spoke to reporters in the training camp and commented that he is all set to win the Super Bowl and is definitely not going to take his health for granted this time out. Prescott and the Cowboys will soon kick off their 2025 NFL campaign against the Eagles in Week 1.
