Dak Prescott had a tough night against the Cardinals in Week 9. He threw for 250 yards with one touchdown and one interception and was sacked five times. But it was not the single story of franchise quarterback.

Due to his flop show, fans should not be happy about him. However, the quarterback had entered the field with a blessing from his late mom, and that’s what touched everyone on social media.
Dak Prescott Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Late Mom Peggy on 12th Anniversary
The date November 3 carried special weight for Cowboys’ signal-caller because it is the same date his mother Peggy Prescott passed away after suffering from colon cancer. The face-off against the Cardinals happened on the 12th anniversary of her death.
Before the kick off, Prescott paused for a quiet moment of prayer. He was dressed in a blue suit, a white shirt, and brown shoes, and took significant time to honor his late mother, whose influence helped shape him to the highest-paid QB today.

Jeff Kolb confirmed the heartwarming moment by sharing a clip of the praying time on his X handle a few hours ago, which already racked up around 1 million views.
Fans were quite showing love, saying no matter what his on-field performance, he owns an absolutely pure heart.
One fan wrote, “Love you 4 😞.”
Another added, “I could have loved you 3000, but it has been reserved for someone else. So, respect you four times.”
The third claimed, “He’s such a good man. G-d bless.”
A fourth fan claimed, “That moment gave me chills, man. Respect to Dak for honoring his mom like that. True class 💙”
He entered the contest carrying his usual pregame motivation. Still, the postgame proved difficult as the squad searched for answers following their second consecutive loss.
Dak Prescott Doesn’t Hold Back After Cowboys’ Latest Humbling Loss
Alongside the trade drama, their locker room atmosphere is getting thick with frustration as Prescott ratted out everything after facing the media. He bluntly said, “They kicked our ass on both sides of the ball. Very frustrating.”

Prescott finished 24 passes from 39 attempts for 250 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. However, the stat sheet doesn’t show the abuse Prescott took behind a weak offensive line that allowed five sacks and nine hits. He spent most of Monday night scrambling, unable to find any rhythm in the pocket.
“It’s very frustrating knowing that you’re better than that and going out there and not putting on a performance that’s close to your standard or even the expectations or what you thought you could do and expected to do,” Prescott added.
The Cowboys’ playoff aspirations are now on life support at 3-5-1, and any turnaround attempt will need to start during their upcoming bye week.
