Breaking: Cowboys Trade Micah Parsons To Packers Is Massive Deal

The Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys have done it.  Micah Parsons’ time with Dallas is officially over, and his time with Green Bay will begin.  This move will have a “Reggie White” type of impact on this franchise.

According to Adam Schefter:

ESPN Sources: Cowboys are trading three-time All-Pro LB Micah Packers to the Green Bay Packers. Parsons and the Packers already have reached agreement on a four-year, $188 million contract.

 

David Mulughetaof Athletesfirsthad a hand in the trade and ultimately negotiating the record-breaking contract that includes $120 million fully guaranteed at signing and makes Parsons the highest-paid non-QB in NFL history.

Here is a full breakdown of Parson’s contract:

Green Bay’s new contract for Micah Parsons is a 4-year, $188M contract.

That comes out to $47M/year … which is a MASSIVE jump for the market.

He gets:

  • • $136M in total guarantees
  • • $120M fully guaranteed
  • • $62M in the first year one

All are records.
