The Dallas Cowboys know that as soon as the clock hits 0:00 on Sunday, they’ll be onto the 2025 season. Sitting at 7-9, Dallas is ready to get healthy and focus on the future. Whether or not Mike McCarthy actually returns to Dallas in 2025 is unclear.
However, if Dallas does decide to move on, it sounds like one name is already off the list.
“Leave It At That” Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Dismisses One Head Coach Candidate
According to Jon Machota of The Athletic:
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on 1053thefan when asked about Jon Gruden:
“I just don’t have any comment there at all. Jon is a friend, and let’s leave it at that.”
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked about the possibility of rehiring Gruden amid news that Gruden will end his self-imposed NFL exile in 2025:
That statement immediately raised concerns among Cowboys fans. Jones may have already begun searching for a successor to head coach Mike McCarthy, whose contract expires in a few weeks.
Jon Gruden is 61 years old and still getting friendzoned.

Can anyone ask him about Ben Johnson?

Again if he was gonna hire Gruden would of been 2012-13 when Garrett was flailing and he had Grudens coordinators and staff in Dallas to plug and play (Kiffen, Callahan, Beccacia, Marinelli)
