The Dallas Cowboys are going into the 2025 season knowing that their fans are expecting a massive bounce back year. After winning 12-regular season games three years in a row under Mike McCarthy, injuries and poor play derailed their 2024 season.
However, one of the team’s targets who could make a huge impact on their team is currently going through some troubling legal issues.
“Sex Scandal Set Up” Cowboys Target Announces Massive Self Defense Case

Last week, Texas Longhorns wide receiver and current NFL Draft prospect Isaiah Bond surrendered to Frisco Police due to an outstanding warrant for his arrest:
Bond, 21, was released after posting $25,000 bail. His legal team is now taking action while vehemently denying the veracity of the disturbing charges.
Nearly a week removed from the release of a shocking affidavit, Bond and his representation have filed a defamation lawsuit against his accuser.
Additionally, a 17-page explanation was sent to all NFL teams by his agent, Damien Butler.
The filing and the letter claim the accuser had launched a “malicious and false smear campaign” against Bond after the two engaged in a consensual encounter.
“Unlike the false narrative that has been amplified, the truth, once revealed in its entirety, will show that he was targeted by a woman eight years his senior, relentlessly pursued, enticed by explicit photos & videos and ultimately set up for financial gain,” the complaint said, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

After turning himself in, Bond had released a statement that rebuked the claims, calling them “patently false.”
“Unfortunately, claims like these prove to be harmful to all involved, absent full review,” Bond said. “I kindly request that all reserve judgement until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence.”
Bond spent one season with the Longhorns in 2024 after playing two years at Alabama. He hauled in 34 receptions for 540 yards and four touchdowns last season.
Entering the Scouting Combine and Draft process, Bond was at one time ranked No. 140 on Pro Football Focus’ board, most notably because of his impressive 4.39 40-yard dash at the Combine.
Some considered him to be worthy of a late-first-round pick.
His arrest, however, will likely push him down many team’s draft boards; rumors have it that the Philadelphia Eagles might take him off their board entirely.

The Cowboys, who have been linked to Bond’s teammate – receiver Matthew Golden – with the 12th overall pick, have visited with Bond as well.
Bond’s agent maintains the optimism that this situation will be resolved to allow for a return to the field, if he is selected in the Draft. Butler claims Bond is “completely innocent.”
“For clubs that still feel his elite talent can help them win games for the next decade,” the agent said, “he is eager to get back on the gridiron where he feels most at home.”
