The Dallas Cowboys are entering the Brian Schottenheimer era with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and George Pickens leading the offense.  Dallas had three consecutive 12-win regular seasons before 2024 was derailed to injury.

Coming back in 2025, the team expects to compete with the best of the best.  However, their new head coach may have gone too far.

After making a bold comment ahead of his first season as Cowboys head coach, Brian Schottenheimer is being roasted online:

Schottenheimer has been handed the reins in Dallas following the close of the Mike McCarthy era and will hope to return the team to its glory days. Of course, it’s easier said than done, but the new HC seems keen on both as he’s declared that the Cowboys will be doing plenty of winning in 2025.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Schottenheimer suggested that rival NFL teams will be after his staff in the next cycle because of how successful the team will be.

“We’re gonna win. And when we win, our coaching staff is going to get raided,” he was quoted as saying by The Athletic’s John Machota. “People are going to come after our coaches, because we’re gonna win.”

This was always going to be difficult for fans to buy, given the Cowboys’ reputation and the inexperience of their new head coach.

Check out some of their reactions below:

“This will not age well. It’ll be interesting to see how he tries to clean this quote up in Jan 😂😂😂,” one comment read.

“He’s been around long enough to know all the right things to say. But his chops stop there,” someone added.

“Dude wants to be the Eagles soo badddd. Does he forget that they have a staff of NFL coach leftovers?” a user asked.

“He thinks they the Eagles😂,” another fan laughed.

We’ll definitely be coming back to this early next year.
