“What Is Going On?” Cowboys Mysteriously Add New Free Agent QB To Their Online Depth Chart

The Dallas Cowboys may already be looking to the 2025 NFL Draft and how they can try to be competitive next season.  Injuries and poor play have highlighted Dallas’ nightmare 2024 campaign.

Things took an interesting turn when Dallas’ website officially listed a new QB on their depth chart.

Following an embarrassing series of events, Jones was released by the New York Giants on Friday, and Dallas didn’t waste any time adding him to their depth chart:

The quarterback reportedly asked to be released by the team after being demoted to the third-string quarterback but taking reps at fourth-string before being deployed as a safety in training.

Jones curiously appeared on the Dallas Cowboys’ official website as a quarterback about an hour after he was cut.

The link has since been deleted, but it suggests he could end up in Dallas. The Cowboys are in desperate need of a quarterback following Dak Prescott’s season-ending injury and could be the perfect team for Jones to make an attempt at resurrecting his career.
