The Dallas Cowboys are hoping this season is the one that sees them break through the first or second round of the playoffs. Dallas has won 12 games three seasons in a row, yet have failed to reach the NFC Championship game once.
CeeDee Lamb has been a big piece to their success as of late, and now he’s in line for a massive contract extension. That extension is taking a while to get done, and in the meantime Lamb decided to release a video about the ordeal.

“Still waiting on that phone call, but until then, we grind,” Lamb says on the video. “Control what I can control, and that’s to be the best version of me.”
It wasn’t until the week of the season opener that the Cowboys signed holdout running back Ezekiel Elliott to a contract extension back in 2019. A touchdown and 14 touches for 63 yards were his stats in the season opener against the Giants.
Lamb earned $2.52 million last season and will earn $17.991 million this season on his fifth-year option. For the first time in his career, he earned All-Pro honors after catching 135 passes for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Cleveland hosts the Cowboys in their first game of the season on Sept. 8.
