After being called for jury duty, Kicker Brandon Aubrey was forced to miss practice, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He has been assured by the judge that he can work around his football schedule in order to resolve the case:

Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, who was listed on the Wednesday practice report as a non-participant because of jury duty, has been selected to be on a 12-person jury for a felony assault case in Tarrant County, a source says.

The case is centered around a second-degree strangulation charge against the defendant. While the Cowboys tried to pull him away from the jury duty, Aubrey insisted on fulfilling his duty on Wednesday. It is expected that he will return to court on Thursday and Friday, and also that the judge will work with Aubrey with his football schedule.

While the Cowboys insisted that Aubrey be excused from jury duty, it was ultimately Aubrey’s decision to serve. The case at hand does not have a clear timeline, as is typical of court proceedings.
