The LA Rams have a new receiver in their top five lists. Cooper Kupp eclipsed 6k yards in a week-five loss to the Cowboys. Kupp had himself a day as one of the few bright spots on a struggling Rams offense. He showed off excellent skills and speed when he hauled in a pass one-handed and took it to the house 75 yards. Kupp finished Sunday with seven catches for 125 yards and a touchdown. This performance puts him in the top five lists for receptions and yards.
Top Five In Receptions:
The Rams have a rich receivers history—Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, Henry Ellard, Flipper Anderson, Jack Snow, etc. Well-known names who have tremendous careers with the Rams. Cooper Kupp can now be mentioned among those all-time great names. After his fourth 100-yard game this season, Kupp ranks inside the top five in Rams history in receiving yards and receptions.
Kupp passed Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk in the reception category. Faulk finished his Rams’ résumé with 470 catches. With seven receptions on Sunday, Kupp now sits in fourth place all-time with 482. Kupp has seen an uptick in production in the past two seasons. Last year he finished with 145 catches and is on pace for 150 receptions this season.
Kupp holds the record for most receptions by a rookie in Rams history with 62. After entering the top five, he trails Henry Ellard, Torry Holt, and Isaac Bruce in catches. With numbers like Kupp has put up, It’s hard not to imagine a world where Kupp didn’t tear an ACL in his second season. Missing eight games in 2018, Kupp was on pace for quite the season. He finished the year with 40 catches for 566 yards and six touchdowns. Who knows how those numbers would look had he not suffered a season-ending injury.

Top Five In Yards:
With his 125 yards on Sunday, Kupp passed Jack Snow for fifth all-time in receiving yards. Kupp has 1,000-yard seasons in two of his five full seasons. As mentioned before, he’s dealt with injury and missed some games. In only 76 games, Kupp has entered the top five in Rams history. Trailing Bruce, Holt, Ellard, and Elroy Hirsch in yards, Kupp has his eyes set on the top four.
The 29-year-old wideout trails Hirsch for fourth all-time by 255 yards. At the rate Kupp is going this season, he’ll have the fourth spot by week nine. Cooper Kupp is a former FCS wide receiver who used to demolish defenses on his road to the NFL. The Rams were able to pick him in the third round out of Eastern Washington.
What’s he done since then? Only set a rookie record, win the triple crown, set a postseason record, and win Super Bowl MVP. Add on top of that the fact he’s the reigning offensive player of the year? This guy was well worth the pick, and many teams are looking foolish for passing on him.
What’s Next For Kupp?:
Kupp finds himself sitting one touchdown shy of the top five in Rams receiving touchdowns. Sitting at career 44 touchdowns, Kupp trails Snow with 45 touchdowns. The following three names on the list are very feasible to catch this season. Trailing Ellard and Hirsch by a combined 14 touchdowns, he could be sitting third all-time by the end of 2022.
Kupp has the Carolina Panthers listed as the next victims this Sunday. The Silent Assassin looks to continue his dominance over the league and creep higher in the all-time leaderboard. Super Cooper has surpassed the century mark in four of five contests and caught a touchdown in three of five tilts.
