Colts vs Eagles football will be another great game for football fans. The Colts haven’t had much success this season, but got back on track against the Las Vegas Raiders. Indianapolis enters Sunday with a 4-5-1 record and look to build off last week’s success. Philidelphia enters the game with a record of 8-1 and look to bounce back from their loss to the Commanders. Sunday’s game will be physical, fun, and exciting for Colt’s fans.
According to ESPN, the Eagles have a 68 percent chance to win the game. The Eagles are also favored to win by 6.5 points. Sunday’s game kicks off at 1 p.m. eastern time at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Colts vs Eagles History
According to Stat Muse, Indianapolis leads the head-to-head series 10-9. Philidelphia beat the Colts 20-16 in 2018. Andrew Luck was under center and the Eagles played well during that game.
How Indy Can Win

I expect this game to be a dogfight between two good teams. Indianapolis’ offense is averaging 15.7 points per game and 352.1 yards per game. Indy faces a strong Eagles defense that has dominated NFL offenses. Indianapolis has to establish a run game and get creative on offense. A strong running game can help Indy control the clock. Jonathan Taylor rushed for 147 yards against the Raiders. The Eagles are allowing 4.6 yards per carry to running backs. Running the ball will lead to short 3rd downs and the Colts can move the ball. Offensive Coordinator Parks Frazier should get creative and call plays that challenge the Eagle’s defense. The Colts can’t afford to get in a drop-back passing game against a violent Eagles pass rush. The Eagles have recorded 29 sacks which is the fourth most in the NFL.
Defensively the Colts have to limit the Eagle’s running game which includes quarterback Jalen Hurts. Running the ball is Philidelphia’s bread and butter. Miles Sanders has rushed for 710 yards and scored six touchdowns. Jalen Hurts has proven he can move the ball with his legs. If Indy can stop the run they can make the Eagle’s offense one-dimensional.
What about Philly?

Nick Sirianni’s offense has been electric this season. The Eagle’s offense is averaging 27.3 points per game and 391.6 yards per game. Philidelphia has to attack the Colt’s secondary. Indianapolis’ secondary is the weak link of an otherwise strong defense. Gus Bradley’s defense allowed Davante Adams to record 129 receiving yards. Philidelphia has to feature receivers A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith. Brown has had success against Indy in the past. Brown and Smith can make big plays and take the top off defenses. The duo has combined for 1,206 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Running the ball will be a challenge because Indy is allowing 3.8 yards per carry to running backs.
Defensively the Eagle’s pass rush has to pressure Matt Ryan. Indy’s offensive line has given up the most sacks in the NFL. Indy has also used multiple combinations. Josh Sweat, Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, and Hassan Reddick have to get home. Philly’s defensive line is the strength of its team and has to be on display Sunday.
