The Minnesota Vikings have a 4-7 record this season and they have struggled at quarterback. Minnesota had a 14-3 record last season and were successful with Sam Darnold.

The Vikings had Darnold and Daniel Jones on the roster, but both are not in Minnesota now. Darnold has the Seattle Seahawks to an 8-3 record and Jones has the Indianapolis Colts to an 8-3 record. J.J. McCarthy has looked like the worst quarterback in the NFL this season for the Vikings and there is no doubt that they are having buyer’s remorse with him. Is there a chance that the Vikings could potentially bring back Jones this offseason?
NFL Fans React To Rumors Of the Minnesota Vikings Potentially Bringing Back Daniel Jones This Offseason

JPA posted on its Twitter page about another potential rumor this offseason, “𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗦: The Vikings could pursue QB Daniel Jones this offseason, per
Minnesota had both Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones on the roster last season but couldn’t retain either one.” It is going to depend upon what the Colts are going to do with Jones. Indianapolis probably wants to give him a long-term extension. In the case they don’t, Minnesota would bring him in and there is no doubt that he is a better option than McCarthy. This is what some NFL fans had to say about Minnesota possibly signing him this offseason:
Colts are going to tag Jones and sign him to a long term deal. He’s not leaving Indy.

Jones and Vikes probably didn’t end on best of terms. I’m sure Jones thought he wasn’t going to have a Darnold type year. And then realized he wasn’t getting a fair shot at QB.

McCarthy is horrible. Dude is so scared of messing up he won’t throw the ball.

I can’t see him leaving Indy. Excelled so wel there.

He is getting franchised tagged.

It would not be a surprise to see Jones get franchise tagged this offseason by the Colts. Indianapolis likes having him around. With that being said, it’s Minnesota’s loss that they got rid of him and Darnold for McCarthy.
