Colorado football is not a perfect program. They have lost two games before November, do not own a win over a team with a winning record, and entered this weekend dead last in the Big 12 regarding rushing yards per game and rushing yards per attempt. However, they also house two of the best players in college football, have elite pass-catchers on offense and are led by former NFL superstar turned bench boss Deion Sanders. In their first year under Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes won four games, a massive increase from their one-win season the year prior. CU is already at five wins this year, and Colorado is one fourth-quarter drive away against K-State as being undefeated in the conference.
On Saturday, Colorado pulled off their most dominant win, besting the Arizona Wildcats 34-7 on the road in Tucson. Outside a thrashing at the hands of Nebraska in early September, Colorado football continues to compete weekly. Nevertheless, Colorado fans are taking aim at the doubters following their convincing win against a preseason favorite in the Big 12.
Haters Put on Blast by Colorado Football Fans
According to one popular Colorado football Twitter account (We Coming):
Colorado is now 5-2 for the first time since 2018 #SkoBuffs
On Saturday, Colorado football visited Tucson, Arizona, to face the UofA Wildcats as a short-field goal underdog. However, Colorado was a significant favorite, jumping out to a 14-0 lead before UofA answered with a passing score. Leading 14-7, Colorado scored 20 unanswered points, with the defense playing arguably their best of the season. Allowing 24.3 points per game this season, the 73rd-best mark in the country, Colorado held Arizona to 245 offensive yards and 3-of-11 on third-down conversions. They also forced three turnovers, accumulated seven ludicrous sacks, and held superstar wideout Tetairoa McMillian to just five catches for 38 yards.
Colorado played much of the second half without two-way superstar Travis Hunter while commanding a significant lead. Meanwhile, quarterback Shedeur Sanders tossed an uncharacteristic two interceptions but finished with 250 yards on 23-of-33 passing. With Colorado continuing to perform at a high level in 2024, their fans took a victory lap following Saturday’s win at the expense of the program’s biggest doubters:
Between the Nebraska blowout loss & now this result, the Colorado haters have been having a very tough day.
Don’t think we’ll see them on this post!

Since losing to Nebraska, Colorado:
* Destroyed CSU, UCF + Arizona
* Beat Baylor
* Only loss, was against the league favorite, without their top two WR's, top corner and led with 5 mins leftKnow no one likes giving Deion credit for anything – but he's been AWESOME this season pic.twitter.com/b9lB4oguhu
