Only one team earned a singular AP Poll Top 25 vote after last weekend’s slate: the Colorado football program. After a stellar and outright dominant road victory against the UCF Knights, the Colorado Buffaloes are now 3-1 and inching closer to becoming ranked for the first time since early last year. For the second straight season, Colorado received massive off-season attention for their use of the transfer portal and housing head coach Deion Sanders, star quarterback Shedeur Sanders, and two-way megastar Travis Hunter.
The Buffaloes continue to routinely find themselves on national TV, gaining admirers, doubters, and outright haters. Last Saturday, UCF welcomed Colorado football with a sea of boos as they hosted the former Pac-12 squad for their conference home opener. Hunter, a perennial Heisman Contender and former All-American, did not mince words when receiving a not-so-warm welcome to FBC Mortgage Stadium on Saturday.
Travis Hunter Clowns UCF Faithful for Treatment of Colorado Football

When heading out of the tunnel for Colorado football’s road contest against the UCF Knights, fans chanted harsh words toward the visiting team. Meanwhile, Superstar two-way player Travis Hunter found it comedic, with him considering the Colorado Buffaloes the main attraction in the Big 12 tilt. Although the UCF faithful tried their best to get under the skin of Hunter and company, Colorado dominated in a 48-21 win, posting 418 yards with just one turnover.
Hunter continued to add to his stellar 2024 season, his second with Colorado football. He caught 9-of-10 targets for 89 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, he added two tackles and an interception. Hunter leads the FBS for the season with 46 receptions and six receiving touchdowns. He also has 16 tackles, three PBUs, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery.
