Following last weekend’s embarrassing 28-10 road loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Colorado football team bounced back nicely in Week 3 with a 28-9 road victory against interstate rival Colorado State. The Colorado Buffaloes easily won their first road challenge of the season, scoring 28 unanswered points between the second and fourth quarters.
Colorado’s social media account reported the final score following the win, as is customary for every FBS team. However, they did so while taking a shot at Colorado State, a similarity from their season opener against the North Dakota State Bison in their season opener. With Colorado football’s social media team taking a jab at CSU, fans expressed frustration via the comments.

Per the official Colorado Buffaloes Football Twitter Page:
Maybe next time, lil bro. Buffs Win. Colorado 28 | Colorado State 9
In the highly anticipated rematch of last season’s 43-35 double overtime thriller, Colorado football squashed Colorado State in this year’s matchup 28-9. Colorado forced four turnovers while registering two sacks. Meanwhile, the Buffaloes tallied 419 yards of offense, with star quarterback Shedeur Sanders going 36-of-49 for 310 yards and four touchdowns. Two-way superstar Travis Hunter also posted 13 receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns while adding four tackles and an interception on defense.
On social media, the Colorado football team took little time to post the final score from Saturday’s win against Colorado State. However, they made sure to include a blatant dig towards their opponent, calling them “lil bro” in the process. Following their season opener win against North Dakota State, the Buffaloes chirped the FCS squad, much to the discontent of college football fans. After Saturday’s post, fans flooded the replies to the post made by Colorado football, expressing anger and frustration with the Deion Sanders-led squad:

I wanna like Colorado more but, yall really need to tone down the arrogant attitude.

FCS: 1-0
G5: 1-0
P4: 0-10 rushing TDs in 3 games.
Shedeur is passing up 19 on 4th and 6 with under 90 seconds to go
One big propaganda machine for Shedeur and Travis imo
Nice rivalry win. Nebraska got better, CSU got worse, colorado is still last years team, GL in conference

Not a CSU fan…but
It’s hilarious how arrogant Colorado and its fans are. Y’all have a terrible team. Looking at 4-5 wins.
Try to be humble. At this point, yall are just loud with nothing to back it up. Clowns 🤡

Well I’d celebrate this win too if I knew it was likely your last win of the season 😂😂😂

Crazy how a coach turned a whole program into hoodrat mentality.
— Dylan Hashbarger (@Drstillyourprez) September 15, 2024
Relax. You beat Colorado State.

So cringe
— Blade Lightning (@HederaHydra) September 15, 2024
There is literally nothing to like about this classless pathetic program. Nothing. Congrats @CUBuffsFootball for selling your self to a piece of garbage coach that is ruining everything about the history of your program.

Arrogance is no way to go through life…but being fat, dumb and lazy you guys might have another win left this season..your culture of arrogance and entitlement is mind blowing
