Colorado football is pacing its best season since 2016. After a 1-1 start, Colorado has won five of their last six games and debuted at 20 in the College Football Playoff standings on Tuesday. With their final four opponents combining for a record well under .500, the Colorado Buffaloes could find themselves with a double-digit winning season and a berth in the Big 12 title game in their first year removed from the Pac 12. In their second year under the tutelage of head coach Deion Sanders, the program has made massive strides on both sides of the ball while receiving exceptional play from two-way superstar Travis Hunter and quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the son of the second-year frontman.
Colorado football will again play on national television this weekend for the ninth time in as many games. One of the most polarizing programs in the country, the trio of Deion Sanders, Travis Hunter, and Shedeur Sanders continue to make headlines for their on-the-field success and unique personalities. However, that doesn’t mean Coach Prime doesn’t show love and respect for the less notorious players in his program. In a video going viral on Wednesday, Deion Sanders is seen earning praise from placekicker Cristiano Palazzo for helping him pursue a career after football.
Colorado Football HC Deion Sanders Helps Player Pursue Future Endeavours

In a heartwarming video shared by Colorado football-centric Twitter account @SKOBUFFS22:
Everything you want is available in Boulder, Colorado. Coach Prime has made it a mission to get his players what they desire, and he’s instilled in them that they need to earn it.
“He was kind enough to meet with them (Mountain View Fire Rescue) and talk for me and show the work that I have done for him. Let them know that I want to lead through servitude the rest of my life and I think through firefighting, I can do that.”
When placekicker Cristiano Palazzo approached head coach Deion Sanders to help him secure a future with Mountain View Fire Rescue post-football, the latter spoke with them about his character via a Zoom call. Sanders called Pallazo “one of the toughest young men on this team” while saying he has been through “a tremendous amount of adversity and has never given up.” Sanders continued, saying, “You never see him with a bad attitude. You never see him bickering or complaining; he always gives it his all.”
Sanders continues to receive criticism for his approach to coaching, which has amplified since joining the Colorado football team in 2022. Sanders has a unique approach to coaching largely unseen at the FBS level. An NFL Hall of Famer and one of the greatest football players of all time, Sanders is known for speaking his mind while never shying away from expressing his self-confidence, much to the displeasure of many media members. Since joining Colorado, the Buffaloes have been 10-10 after going 1-11 in the year before his arrival.
