On Saturday, the Colorado football program played arguably the most exciting and fun game of the entire slate. Following a bounce-back blowout win on the road against the Colorado State Rams, the Colorado Buffaloes hosted the Baylor Bears to open Big 12 play. The two conference foes engaged in a high-scoring back-and-forth, with Baylor taking a touchdown lead midway through the fourth quarter. However, with a miracle 43-yard game-tying Hail Mary touchdown by Colorado star Shedeur Sanders to wide receiver LaJohntay Wester and a walk-off forced fumble and recovery, the Buffaloes emerged victorious, moving to 3-1.
With last weekend’s win, Colorado now owns wins over FCS power North Dakota State, conference foe Baylor, and interstate rival Colorado State. Despite the solid start and championship expectations within the program at the beginning of the season, the Buffs did not receive a vote in the AP Poll Top 25 for Week 5. Deion Sanders Jr, the son of head coach Deion Sanders and brother of quarterback Shedeur Sanders and safety Shilo Sanders, responded to the news with a humble two-word remark.
Deion Sanders Jr. Not Stunned by AP Top 25 Exclusion of Colorado Football

According to Colorado football superfan Buffaloed:
Colorado didn’t get a single vote in the AP Poll.
Deion Sanders Jr., a prominent figure in Colorado football who works with the team via media, responded, “We shouldn’t.” Sanders Jr. disregarded the AP Poll for omitting the Colorado Buffaloes without a vote. Colorado houses a commendable 3-1 record. Still, the strength of schedule, which includes an FCS opponent and struggling programs in Baylor and Colorado State, the Buffaloes firmly outside the AP Top 25. However, back-to-back wins following the Baylor victory could put them on the rankings radar.
This upcoming weekend, Colorado and coach Deion Sanders will visit the UCF Knights. They will enjoy a weekend off before taking on the Kansas State Wildcats in mid-October. If Colorado is not ranked following a 5-1 record, a road win over Arizona in the third week of October would propel them to new heights.
