Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter was on the other end of a dominant Nebraska Cornhuskers performance Saturday despite his best efforts.
The Buffaloes and Cornhuskers both went into the game at 1-0. The late-game atmosphere, hope for the Nebraska season and renewal of an old rivalry made for a raucous atmosphere that Hunter spoke out on Tuesday.
Colorado Buffaloes WR/DB had a lot to say about the Nebraska Cornhuskers fans
Even though Hunter was going at with Nebraska fans during warmups before the game, he spoke highly of the fanbase. Hunter was dancing to “F*** CU” chants that were taking place before the game in an effort to show that he wasn’t fazed by the hostile crowd.

Despite the hostile nature, Hunter said the Husker fanbase deserves to be considered a top-ten gameday environment. The former five-star recruit said the noise was consistent and that he couldn’t even think to himself during the game.
“That environment was top 10 … I couldn’t even think to myself how loud it was.”

Colorado Buffaloes WR/DB Travis Hunter earned the respect of many Nebraska Cornhuskers fans
While giving respect to your opponent is much easier the week after you’ve beaten them by three scores, Hunter did earn the respect of many Husker fans with his praise of the environment. Hunter tried his best to prevent the three-score deficit by putting up 110 receiving yards on 10 receptions on top of a strong defensive showing.
Husker fans know first-hand that there was a lot of animosity directed towards Hunter and the Buffaloes team as the two programs prepared for their week two matchup.
A lot of Husker fans called Hunter a “class act” for his ability to put the hostility behind him and give credit to the Husker fan base where credit is due.
Classy Kid. Especially after all of the hate thrown at him online and from the crowd at the game.

From a Husker fan, I have an immense amount of respect for Travis Hunter. You could tell he actually cares and is passionate. He’s also probably the best player in CFB, just stuck in a brutal program.
