The College Football Bowl season is upon us. It is one of the more exciting times of college sports, right up there with March Madness. As these are the last games of the season, and some colligate players’ careers, emotions can run high.
That is exactly what happened between NC State and Eastern Carolina.
College Football Bowl Game Leaves Ref Bloodied And Battered (Watch)
Eight players were ejected from the Go Bowling Military Bowl between East Carolina and NC State after an all-out brawl ended with one referee getting a cut that required stitches:
East Carolina sealed the Go Bowling Military Bowl when Dontavius Nash picked off CJ Bailey’s pass attempt with less than a minute remaining. That play put the final stamp on a 26-21 victory for Blake Harrell’s group.
The brawl led to eight player ejections, with one of the referees suffering a cut that led to noticeable cut and blood on his face.
As you can see in the videos below, it appears that the brawl commenced after East Carolina’s Yannick Smith grabbed the towel of Tamarcus Cooley on NC State:

The East Carolina Pirates win their first Military Bowl
With Saturday’s 26-21 win, the Pirates earned their first Military Bowl victory. Due to COVID-19, the school’s 2021 game with Boston College was canceled.
