The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 9-1 this season and they are preparing to face the Army Black Knights this weekend. As long as Notre Dame wins out, they will most likely be in the college football playoffs. If they finish the season with a 10-2 record, it could get very dicey for them.
The only loss for the Irish this season was against the Northern Illinois Huskies. Notre Dame has been better than a lot of people thought they were going to be this college football season.
On3Network Reporter Jake Rowe Thinks That the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Should Not Be In the Top 10
Jake Rowe covers the Georgia Bulldogs on on3 network. On Tuesday night, he said on his Twitter page:
“They’re talking about the wrong team in Indiana as far as these rankings go. Notre Dame has no business being in the top 10.”
This is a very interesting point because the Indiana Hoosiers play in the BIG10 Conference and are ranked number five in the nation. As for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, they are ranked sixth in the country and don’t play in a conference.
Notre Dame would face the Alabama Crimson Tide in the first-round of the college football playoffs if the season ended today. It will be interesting to see how the final two weeks of the college football regular season play out.

It will be interesting to see where the Notre Dame Fighting Irish finish in the 2024 college football season. It would not be a surprise to either host a first round playoff game or miss the playoffs entirely.
