College football has been crazy the past few days, from the 12-team playoff being filled out to one of the greatest coaches in NFL history accepting to coach a lower-tier power four schools.
A week ago, a report was released that former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was interviewing for the head coaching job in North Carolina.
While many thought he was trying to get his foot in the door and getting pressure on NFL teams to start offering him interviews, it turned out the 72-year-old head coach did want to coach college because, on Tuesday, he accepted the job.
According to Ollie Connolly, “Belichick has agreed to become the next UNC coach. Belichick handed the school a 400 page “organizational bible” with structure, payment plans, staffing choices etc. decisions on whether to commit with UNC. He is expected to know their decision within 24 hours”

It sounds like Belichick wants to be the coach in Chapel Hill next season, but the program will have to agree on a bunch of hurdles.
The six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach will want full control of the team, which is one reason why he wasn’t hired as an NFL head coach this past offseason.
North Carolina has to accept his rules because who else will they get? Everyone will be eyeing the program in a good or bad way.
