Perhaps the most famous NFL controversy came with Colin Kaepernick getting effectively kicked out of the league. Now the former quarterback is back in the football world, and he visited a more college program recently.
The football player turned activist visited Oregon and specifically their football program on Monday morning.

No one really knows why Kaepernick was visiting the Ducks, perhaps he was checking out the United States track and field trials for the Olympics as well. Even though the former quarterback is back in the football world a little, his long time girlfriend Nessa made it crystal clear that she is done with the NFL forever.

Nessa, like many other fans and analysts around the league, believes her boyfriend was completely blacklisted from the league following his whole controversy. And while he has not played in the league for many years, Nessa still holds on to that hate for the NFL. She says she will never watch games again and that she is done with the NFL forever.
“That’s why I don’t watch that organization, and I still don’t care who performs at their halftime show,” Nessa wrote on social media.
It was pretty clear to many fans that Kaepernick, whether rightfully or wrongfully, was kicked out of the league for his actions and comments in the media. The commissioner of the league Roger Goodell however, has claimed to defend his players right to free speech.
“We have over 3,000 players. We have executives around the league. They have diversity of opinions and thoughts just like America does. That’s something we treasure,” Goodell said.
Many would have liked to see these comments made when Kaepernick was getting kicked from the league. And many fans would have wanted to see the former star get the same treatment during his whole debacle.
The recent Harrison Butker ordeal did not help, as the team and the league backed Butker in the sense that he is entitled to speak his mind and should not be punished for doing so.
Now, while Butker was giving a speech at a Christian college and Kaepernick was kneeling on the NFL’s production during games, many fans still felt that because of what happened with Colin, that Butker should have faced some type of disciplinary action. Either way it makes perfect sense that Nessa would despise the league and never watch again.
