Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been coming up once again in the news following the controversial Tyreek Hill detainment. Earlier in the week, fans were saying that Kaepernick was right about police brutality after the body cam footage on Hill was released to the public. Now, Hill has made more comments on what he will do to take further action, and it has Kaepernick’s name coming up once again.
Tyreek Hill Comments
Hill commented that he would not be taking a knee during the National Anthem, asking to defund the police, or protesting law enforcement in any way following the incident. He said “Football is my therapy,” and even mentioned earlier that he would like to become a police officer himself.

Colin Kaepernick Called Out by Fans
These comments caused fans to call out Kaepernick, saying that the former 49ers quarterback should “take notes” on how Hill handled the situation. Kaepernick has been a huge advocate for defunding the police and putting an end to police brutality, so of course when it happens to someone in the league, fans automatically think of him.

Even though fans clowned on Kaepernick after Hill made these comments, the entire situation made many fans realize that he was right about the police brutality, and most are on his side of the issue. Many also argue that Kaepernick should have another shot in the NFL if people like Deshaun Watson are still getting paid to play.
What are your thoughts on Kaepernick’s views after the Hill situation?
