NFL fans had much to say about Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh’s announcement on Thursday about Colin Kaepernick.
A report published this week by USA Today quoted Harbaugh as saying that he offered Kaepernick a coaching job this offseason. Harbaugh made it appear that Kaepernick was still mulling the job over. However, Kaepernick is still training to be a quarterback in the league.
Jim Harbaugh says Colin Kaepernick won’t be with the team this year
As previously discussed on GH, Harbaugh said Kaepernick would not be a part of the Chargers team this season as a coach or quarterback:
“I love Colin, but he’s not going to be on the coaching staff, which is set for this year. And he’s not going to be playing on the roster either,” Harbaugh said.
Maybe in the future?
While Harbaugh is banning Kaepernick from the Chargers this season, he appears to plan on asking his former quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers to coach with him in the future:
“I have thought that for a long time. Just the respect that I have for the football mind he has and the football man that he is,” said Harbaugh when asked what made him believe Kaepernick would make a good coach.
“[Late Raiders owner] Al Davis saw something in me that made him think I would be a good coach, and I see those same qualities in Colin. If it is something he chooses.”

He once again passed on an opportunity to be in the NFL. Can we just forget Kaepernick’s name already?

So all that was just some made-up, feel good, warm fuzzy stuff. The obligatory , annual “Let us resurrect Kaep off the scrap heap” B.S. When is the “Tebow” story scheduled?

Why doesn’t he take the opportunity

Good, I don’t want him anywhere near my boy Herbert

If he’s changed his attitude about America, then give him another chance. He was young, and young people make bad decisions sometimes.

Brother doesn’t want to work

Good, he would be more of a distraction than his worth as a coach.
