“Coach Has a Ton of Money, Therefore a Young Girlfriend”: Social Media Explodes After Fans Notice UNC QB Matches Bill Belichick’s GF Age

College football fans lost faith in their math when they learned UNC backup quarterback Max Johnson and Bill Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson are both exactly 24 years old.

The bizarre age coincidence became viral during the Tar Heels’ 48-14 blowout loss to TCU on Monday night. It even overshadowed what was supposed to be Belichick’s triumphant coaching debut in Chapel Hill.

Fans Get Ironic After Learning Bill Belichick Belongs to the Same Age Group as UNC’s QB

The Tar Heels started the night at Kenan Stadium with an early touchdown. Unfortunately, it was their first and last lead in the whole game. The night then was all about the show of TCU and their signal caller, Josh Hoover. And UNC took the headline for all the unnecessary reasons.

Among them, one humorous report came from ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, who wrote on X, “Ironically, UNC backup QB Max Johnson is 24 years old, the same age as Jordon Hudson, Bill Belichick’s girlfriend.”

The tweet immediately went viral, with fans unable to process that the legendary 73-year-old coach’s romantic partner shares a birth year with one of his own players.

One fan cut straight to the point, noting, “Jealous?”

Another doubled down on the feelings, penning, “LOL certainly you’re jealous”

It also sparked conversations about college athletics demographics. “What is the bigger shock? I thought college players usually are 18-22. Coach has a ton of money, therefore a young girlfriend,” one user remarked, highlighting Johnson’s unusual age for a college player.

A fourth user added, “He can relate with the youth.”

One random X user joked, “This is the kind of reporting I live for.”

Later, a fan shared, “Max Johnson is only four months younger than Jordon Hudson.”

However, the memes and jokes provided much-needed comic relief for UNC fans watching their team get steamrolled. Meanwhile, during the live broadcast, Hudson was getting Taylor Swift treatment.

Jordon Hudson Gets the Taylor Swift Treatment

Jordon Hudson received the Taylor Swift treatment as cameras focused on her watching the UNC team score during their opening drive that kicked off the NFL legend’s tenure in college football.

ESPN’s broadcast team didn’t miss a beat, giving Hudson multiple shots throughout the game just like networks do with Swift during Travis Kelce’s NFL games.

Hudson was shown sitting next to NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss in a suite after UNC took the lead. The 24-year-old appeared relaxed and engaged, smiling from the luxury box while watching her boyfriend’s successful coaching debut.

However, her smile spoiled sooner than she expected as North Carolina got embarrassed on national television. Johnson came off the bench in the second half, completing 9-of-11 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. But it was too little too late against TCU’s dominant performance.
