On Tuesday night, the Cleveland Browns lost out on free agent quarterback Russell Wilson when he decided to sign with the New York Giants.
The Browns met with Wilson in Cleveland a few weeks ago, but the 36-year-old quarterback didn’t feel like the Browns were the right fit for him.

Cleveland currently holds the No. 2 pick in this year’s NFL Draft, which could allow them to select a quarterback.
The Cleveland Browns Could Land Dak Prescott

If the Browns don’t go quarterback at No. 2, there is a chance they could trade for a veteran, and longtime sports talk show host Bruce Drennan thinks the team could be going after Dallas Cowboys starter Dak Prescott.
Drennan said on his podcast, “The Browns are negotiating as we speak with the Dallas Cowboys for a trade with Dak Prescott.”

Prescott is coming off a season-ending hasting injury that caused him to miss nine games.
The 31-year-old quarterback led the NFL with 36 touchdown passes in 2023, so he has tons of talent if he can stay healthy.
Who knows if Prescott will be a member of the Browns, but Cleveland’s lack of interest in landing a veteran quarterback this offseason could suggest they are looking to trade for one.
