It was a great week for all Cleveland Browns fans because they didn’t have to watch their horrible team play football with them being on their Bye, but sadly, everything that is good must end.
This week, Cleveland will head to New Orleans to take on the Saints, and there was a lot of speculation about who could be playing quarterback for the Browns in this matchup.
Cleveland Browns Make QB Decision
Jameis Winston has started the last two games, and both of those starts were different from each other. In Winston’s first start, he beat the Baltimore Ravens by throwing for 334 yards and three scores, and in his next appearance, he lost to the Los Angeles Chargers, throwing three interceptions and one touchdown, which came in garbage time.
Cleveland also has second-year quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson sitting on the bench behind Winston, and many have wondered why he doesn’t have the starting job.
Thompson-Robinson is still extremely young and needs as many reps as possible, and with the season being lost, there is no point in keeping the 24-year-old on the bench.
The Browns have to see what they have in the young quarterback, but they aren’t willing to do it because, according to Mary Kay Cabot from Cleveland.com, “Kevin Stefanski comes out of the bye week with Jameis Winston still has his starter for the duration.”

There is zero point in running Winston out on the field each week because he is 30 years old, has proven he is not a starter, and the season is already over; the Browns need to see what they have in their young players so they can evaluate who will be part of their future moving forward.
