The Cleveland Browns’ interior offensive line, unlike their tackles, for the most part, stayed healthy all season long, as all three interior linemen suited up for at least 15 games last season. All three of their starting interior offensive linemen have started their first three games, compared to their top two offensive tackles, who have either missed the first two or three games. Unfortunately, their guard couldn’t dodge the injury bug.
The Cleveland Browns elite RG suffered an injury in Week 3
3-Time Pro Bowl right guard Wyatt Teller suffered an apparent knee injury while blocking on a failed 53-yard field goal attempt by Dustin Hopkins in the third quarter of their 15-21 loss to the New York Giants. Teller went straight into the medical tent for further examination and then went to the locker room. He did not return for the remainder of the game. Kevin Stefanski told reporters on Monday that he suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain, which typically carries a four-to-six-week recovery time.
He will miss at least the next four weeks
The Cleveland Browns made a flurry of roster moves on Wednesday, cutting one player from the practice squad, promoting one to the active roster, signing three to the practice squad, and placing one on injured reserve. According to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN, the Browns have placed Wyatt Teller on injured reserve, sidelining him for the next four weeks. The earliest Teller can return to the football field is Week 8 when they face the Baltimore Ravens.

Who starts at RG?
Zak Zinter will replace Wyatt Teller at right guard. Zinter played four collegiate seasons for the Michigan Wolverines, earning two First Team All-Big Ten selections (2022 and 2023) and one All-American First Team honors (2023). The Browns drafted him 85th overall in this year’s draft. He played their final 34 snaps of the game. He has a chance to make a good first impression in his rookie season.
