Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has a lot to do to get completely out of the shadows of his Pro Football Hall of Famer dad, Deion Sanders.
The elder Sanders, aside from being a Canton inductee, is a two-time Super Bowl champion and an eight-time Pro Bowler. The younger Sanders, on the other hand, is just barely out of college and appears to be a long shot to win the Browns’ quarterback battle in the offseason.
Nevertheless, many still hold the belief that he’ll be a star in the NFL.
During a recent youth camp, a fan asked the former Colorado Buffaloes star signal-caller about who’s better between “Prime Time Deion or Prime Time Shedeur.”
Shedeur didn’t seem to give an answer, but the kids around him appeared to have him as their pick.

Cleveland Browns DB gushes over Shedeur’s ability to handle the media storm

Attention has always followed Shedeur, even before he was selected by the Browns in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft.
As the son of a Hall of Famer, Shedeur is always bound to turn heads, for better or for worse. His poise amid the glare of the spotlight has impressed Browns star cornerback Greg Newsome II.
“He’s been amazing. A sponge, I would say. It’s just crazy that a guy this young with this much notoriety can just handle media. I think his dad has really taught him how to be that guy in the spotlight and understand what comes with it,” said Newsome (Kyron Samuels of Sports Illustrated).
Shedeur can expect more attention as the training camp looms and the QB battle gets more intense heading into the 2025 NFL campaign.
